Celebrate the spirit of togetherness at Ramadan Bazaar Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu, the city's most popular Sungkai Buffet, continues to engage diners with Ramadan favorites and new exciting dishes at the hotel's all day dining venue, Latest Recipe.

Pasar Ramadan, a well-known culture in Malaysia, is frequented by all walks of life for the sheer variety dishes, specialties, desserts and beverages of choice during the fasting month.  Ramadan Bazaar at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu recreates the colorful and exciting ambience with its live cooking stations and creative stall setups including a dessert wonderland and 13 woks of various gulai.

Is your mouth watering yet?  Just look at this impressive spread.

This year, the hotel introduces more than 350 dishes, including the old-time Ramadan favorites as well as new exciting menu.  Very exciting indeed.

This year's Sungkai Buffet highlights includes:- briyani, signature nasi lemak, hybrid grouper, gearbox soup, whole roasted lamb, seafood on ice, bubur lambuk, bakar-bakar station, ABC and Teppanyaki Ice Cream.

Signature Nasi Lemak with Quail
Hybrid grouper.

Gearbox soup.

I've requested the smallest portion so I would have room for everything else.  But this is so flavorful yums.  They also prepared the straws just in case you wanna slurp your way through the bone.

My favorite would be the roasted lamb, with sides and sauces.  In this case, I had it with the mint sauce and the salads.

Seafood on ice.

A firm favorite among the locals, Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu's signature Tampatan specialties -

The making of Ambuyat

Ayam Pansoh, Ambuyat, Pinasakan Udang, Hinava, Bambangan, Tuhau and more is also available.

Apart from that, am very much excited to see Sotong Bakar and Sotong Kangkung at the bazaar.  Gotta be the first to take before it runs out.

Any satay lovers out there?  These are nice and juicy.
