It's a celebration of food, culture and tradition at Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel.
You can't imagine how excited I was when I finally get to go KK Marriott Hotel, was really curious about the food and finally did some food tasting for the Ramadan Buffet which will feature favorite local delicacies inspired by flavors of Borneo.
The Ramadan Buffet will be at Kitchen@8 which is located at the 8th floor, B side. I was initially confused with the lifts coz there's more than 1 side. There's a side from the carpark, 1 side to get to the restaurants and A side which I haven't go yet. Parking is free, entry from Oceanus Shopping Mall carpark at level 3A or 4.
The culinary team at KK Marriott Hotel headed by Executive Chef Suradi Surip, Sous Chef Patrick and Demi Chef Hamzah prepared a variety of delicious spread including local kuehs and cakes.
The nightly buffet dinner is available from 6th May to 3rd June 2019 on a daily basis from 6pm to 10pm.
To further elaborate on the of Taste of Borneo buffet dinner concept, Director of Sales &Marketing Jennifer Lim says, “This year, we bring the best of Sabah’s aromatic flavors into Kitchen@8, in honor of our rich and diverse heritage. Whilst we mainly target our local guests with this offer, it is also a fantastic opportunity for our international visitors to savor a selection of authentic cuisine.”
“We want our diners to freely move around and interact with our chefs at the interactive stalls. It is sure to be a memorable dining experience and we are equally excited about it.”
Recommended dishes includes Lamb Uzi with Arabic Rice, Borneo-inspired Pusas, Oxtail Assam Pedas, Ikan Bakar, Spicy Hot Pot Soup and Beef Shank Rendang. You must definitely try the bakar bakar station, the sea cucumber, chicken rice, lamb uzi and yes, they also have ambuyat. Overall it was a good experience. Food was delicious.
