Amsyar's KK Trip (End of Trip)

6th July 2008 (Sunday) - Day 4


Started the morning with going to Gaya Street for breakfast. Reached Thien Thien Restaurant around 10am-ish. I had Kon Lou Mien with Sesame Seed Chicken. Tasty! Mum love to eat there, but I warn you people, if you wanna eat there, must have patience, coz they lacking of staff so it's a bit slow lately.

Amsyar got this habit of wanting to eat whatever everyone else is eating XD so cute.

Kak Fina wasn't feeling very well. She was sick.


We were walking around Gaya Street till noon. I bought myself a choker. Mwahhaha. XD Most of us didn't get much stuff. It was so hot that I wanna faint from walking.


We decided to go to Tg Aru Beach for some ABC. Reached there around 12:30 noon. I had watermelon juice. Advice, if you love juice, just get the Large ones. It's only RM4. I took the Regular size and it cost RM3. And guess what? With Large juice that cost only RM4 is equivalent to 3 regular cups! WOKEH! Lesson learned. The Large Dragonfuit juice is so tempting! Maybe I'll get that next time.

We were there till 2pm. Amsyar was running around. He had so much fun. Yes, I had fun from chasing him around too XD And I took tons of photos of him there. *giggle. So cute.

Next stop is Filipino Market. @_@ Oh, it's so hot that I sweat so much. But it's not as bad as Amsyar, he's allergic to the sun and to the whole sweating thing. He get rashes on his back if he sweat. Poor little monster. He's cranky when that happens. His mum was too bz shopping and I was looking after him for awhile but I think he got slightly annoyed coz I don't let him out of my sight *rofl.

The whole shopping thing finish around 5:30pm. Well roughly. They're not done shopping em salted fish, anchovies and dried prawns. 2 boxes filled with it. Gawd, I was sweating so badly that I wanna go home at that moment. But, everyone decided not to, so we went to KK Night Market for dinner instead. Early dinner to be exact.

The kind of food available there. And this is not even half the stalls there. There's more!!!! @_@

Next time, if you decided to eat here, please ask for the price. *giggles. The prawn range from RM13 - RM20 each! @_@ But dinner was nice. I rike. We were hoping to take photos of sunset. But T_T haihs~ this is it. Yeap, that's it =_=" Not enough sun burst oh well.


On the way home, I drop by Tg. Lipat, wait, does the area near the Likas Mosque considered as Tg. Lipat ka? Yeah, we were there waiting for sunset till nearly 7pm. Hmph~ We left when it's all done, what a disappointment, the view is not that great *sigh.


Anyways, on the way back, I use the shortcut from Kg. Likas. Mum asked me to stop by at a friend's house. It's actually my friend's friend. She's not home though. Ogie, my friend's dad sort of forgot to give her the friend's wedding invitation. So yeah, we missed out on the wedding few days ago T_T oh nois. Oh well, no worries, at least there's still decorations left for us to take photo XD (At this point, I seriously need to shower, I smell like fish!!!).

7th July 2008 - Monday - Last Day of Visit

I guess most of them are tired but I promise my friend I'll bring her to eat "Kerang Bakar" and drink "Kelapa Bakar". So I did. This place is located along the road to Gayang. You can't miss it. Lotsa stalls there. In other words, if you know where's Bina Puri Gayang Site Office, it's actually before that.


There's only me and my friend Aizam actually, till the little monster wanted to follow. Surprisingly, he's obedient today. He even sat on my lap while his mum was eating. Hmm fishie. The "Kerang Bakar" cost around RM4 (depending on the size), and "Kelapa Bakar" cost around RM2.50 or was it RM3. Can't remember. Yes, it's cheap! XD

After all that, we went home and eat lunch. As requested, mum cooked "Ayam Biscuit". I bet most of you people don't know what is "Ayam Biscuit". It's chicken cooked with biscuit yes! XD My favorite!!!! *slurp~ tasty~ I'll blog about that next time.

Friends started packing. I think my car also packed with all the boxes and luggage. Small car T_T sollie. We went off at around 4pm-ish coz need to drop by Filipino Market to get more bracelet, we got to the airport around 5:30pm -ish . Roughly.

I stayed till they got into the departure hall T_T Well more like I was chasing Amsyar around the airport. *giggles. I miss them already T_T


BYE BYE! COME VISIT ME AGAIN! *cries. Ogie, I didn't actually cry. But I'm sad. That whole 5 days was fun! T_T

Amsyar's KK Trip (Part 3)

I'm sorry it took awhile for me to update Part 3 of my friend's trip. I went to watch Hancock last nite but erm, I think I had something bad or too much gas in me that I vomited my dinner. @_@ Gawddammit. No worries, I'm fine. I just need to let all em gas out of my system *giggles XD

5th July 2008 - Day 3 - Kundasang

Ahh yes, still at Kundasang and I'm lacking of sleep. I showered at around 7am. It rained the night before. Had breakfast at the Nabalu Cafe. Again, fewd was great. Check out em raves here.

We went to Kinabalu Park around 10am. Well we went there coz my friend wanted to bring her son there. Entrance is RM3 per person.

We stop by this place before reaching Timpohon. Well actually, we were excited coz of that waterfall. Yes I know it's far. But it was worth it coz it's fun and funny! XD

Some of the place are under construction. They're fixing the road. We reach the Timpohon area around 10:17am. Lotsa people and cars around, lack of parking space. Mum didn't wanna go join us in our little "adventure". Somehow I think she got this psychic sense that's telling her that she might suffer after *giggle. Well gewd for her. Coz I know for the fact that she don't wanna go hike all the way down to Carson Fall.

It was my dad's idea to hike to Carson Fall. I was totally wearing the wrong shoe and I was wearing jeans. Should have brought along more 3/4 pants @_@. Anyways, yes, we hiked to Carson Fall. My dad carried Amsyar. I think if my friend to do that, she'll faint in the middle of that pathway. Coz it's tiring. Especially for people like me (*cough cough coz I don't exercise *giggle).

I can't remember when was the last time I went there. But it was fun! XD Well excluding the part where I scared I might fall down somewhere and embarrass myself? XD

Anyways, I think my dad is in better shape than me. OMG! Not only that, he had his share of fun too. Over excited, he's imagining TARZAN @_@

Well, I'm grateful and glad coz my dad is so kewl to bring my friends around. XD Yeah I just don't like it when he's in a bad mood. Angin taufan puting beliung man. But if he's happy, he'll crack some dirty jokes, I kid you not.

It was 11:14am when my dad drop by the restaurant area. Well some of us need to go to the loo. While I was taking some photos of my pinky street figures, my dad called me to look at this. Amazingly interesting isn't it? WAW! Yes, I had to adjust the ISO and everything else to get a good look at this. My dad said it looks like a dragon. XD I'll let you guys be the judge of that. I hope the shot is clear enough.


It was nearly 12 noon, we went back to the lodge to check out and drop by at the vegetable and fruit stalls. They sure bought lotsa stuff there. @_@ I actually wanted to get a cactus but hmm I thought to myself, I might not take care of it, so why waste money? XD


On the way back, saw this. My dad woke me up just to ask me to take a shot of it. @_@ Yes, I slept all the way back. And not only that, reaching home, I drop all my stuff on the floor of my room, and went straight to bed. That's how tired and sleepy I was. I actually skipped lunch and slept all the way through till 9pm. And I'm suppose to bring my friends to go eat seafood. But I was too tired to wake up. They should wake me up, I mean yeah.

So yeah, end of day 3.

Amsyar's KK Trip (Part 2)

4th July 2008 (Day 2) - Trip to Kundasang.

My dad was nice enough to drive us there (more like my parents don't wanna let me drive *cough cough). We got off before 9am (or was it 9am? o.O I know I should have a lappy with me to blog on the day itself, now I can't remember much details). The plan was to go Poring first then overnight at Kundasang.

We reach Nabalu Town around 10am-ish. Dad bought some pineapple while massy went somewhere to take photos, the others went to look for souvenirs. I bought myself a new sling bag. YAY! I love it! X3 While Aizam browse for souvenirs, I was in charge to look after this little monster. @_@ I had to follow where ever he goes. This is considered as a minor exercise for me.

If you want to find souvenirs from Sabah, well besides the shops around KK, this is a must visit place.

I think we were there for an hour or so. Proceed to Kundasang town right after. We were actually looking for chalet/hotel to overnight. We went to survey price. Most room price range around RM80++ per night (excluding breakfast). But before we could proceed, we need fuel. This is the only fuel station in Kundasang. O.O"" Waw~

Lotsa places to choose from, but one of the place that we find interesting would be the "Mesilau Nature Resort". This place is nice but too quiet. Mum didn't like it, well lets just say she don't like a place without a view XD *rofl. The chalet price range from RM300++ to RM500++.

We were hungry after the mushroom farm visit. Went to Cottage Restaurant for lunch. We were obviously hungry coz when we reach there, it was nearly 2pm. And the fish slices mee hoon I ordered is tasteless @_@ I could finish it. That's coz I was uber hungry.

I didn't get to take any shot of those fried rice they ordered but, I manage to take the Watan Ho and Fish Mee Hoon Soup. Fried rice taste just ok.

The fresh vege and the mushroom are great. Slightly pricey though.

We went to Kg. Luanti Baru, Ranau around 3pm-ish. Natural fish spa thinggie. The fishes are big!! I mean BIG!! Entrance fee RM5. Full body spa at the river is RM10. I think. I didn't go in coz I had to be miss handbag carrier. *rofl. Ogie fine!!! I'm scared of big fish. They'll eat me!!! I rather if it's the other way around. *rofl.

Went to Poring right after. On the way, we stop at the road side to see/take photo with the rafflesia flower which is dying in a day. The lady told us that the flower will last for 5 days only. And will only bloom in the next 9 month or so? @_@

At Poring, me and my parents decided to wait in the car. Once they're done, we went to check in at Nabalu Cafe Lodge. Well actually they wanted to stay at Rose Cabin but mum decided to stay at Nabalu instead. Had dinner around 8:30pm, after shower. Oh man, I'm spoiling my diet. That's for sure. I was so sleepy that I wanted to skip dinner. The fewd was great! TASTY! Check out the raves here.

Slept around 10am. =_=" I end up waking up at 1am dammit. I don't think it was the sofa coz the sofa was kinda comfie. I dunno wut's wrong with me. Or was it the position of the sofa. I wasn't facing the door but I was definitely near the door. Maybe that's it. Or was it the noise coming from the laundry room? Or the rain? I really don't know. I bugged some people on sms. Sorry =_=" I need someone to talk to actually. Played some mp3 on my handphone and played some DS games till it was 4am only I can sleep.

But after all that lack of sleeping, I woke up early again. It was around 6:30am. I couldn't sleep back that I gave up and showered around 7am.

Amsyar's KK Trip (Part 1)

I'll divide my friend's 5 days trip to KK into few part. I don't really know where or how to start. But here goes.

My friend, Aizam (I knew her from college since October 1998, been friends ever since), her 1 year old son, Amsyar, her sis (Kak Ni) and her sis's friend (Kak Fina) came to visit last 3rd July 2008 (Thursday). I took 3 days off work just to bring them around.

I was estimating the time of arrival and didn't wanna be late. But, stewped lorry drivers blocking my road @_@ *halfway panic, I wasn't speeding all the way to airport, I was sort of early. I mean it's past 10am but I wasn't late *giggle. This is the funny part. I haven't been visiting the airport that often, so, I got a bit confuse with the parking. *hehe~ I called my friend to check if they're out yet or not. Baggage claim area. Ogie. So, I waited for awhile.

I think I turn those big round to get to the waiting area 4 times till I get to them. Had to put all the luggage in the car. @_@ Oh, my car is not that big. I drive a kenari and I was trying my best to slot everything in *giggle. So, I thought, I'm gonna use the normal road to go home. But I was er confused with the road (still under construction) that I had to use the other road. Turn 1 big around again. Pass my office area to Likas. Well since they wanted to see the stadium, I had to use a the longer road home. No worries.

I think I reach home at around nearly noon. I can't remember whether we went to 1Borneo first or had lunch at home first. But yeah we went to 1Borneo. Met my bro and his gf there.

If I remember correctly, we stayed at home on the 1st night. I took more shots of him *giggle.

His aunt calls him "Little Monster". Coz he likes to touch everything he sees @_@ *rofl.

He knows when to smile when taking photo *giggle. All you gotta do is say "1, 2 smile" he'll smile. He's such a cutie.

My blog will go through slow update in 5 days. My frens from KL came to KK today till 7th July. I'll try to blog whenever I can.

Her son is adorable but hyper, he touch everything he sees @_@. XD I'll post up some photos of him after the 7th if I can. Dun miss me people! XD

Even though there's only 2 songs. I still think it's AWESOME!!! I think "Terbangkan Aku Ke Bulan" will be a hit song. This cd is selling at RM5. Looking forward for the album! YOSH!
