In line with World Wildlife Day's theme this year "Sustaining all life on earth", Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with WWF Malaysia is organizing a 10KM Wild Wild Virtual Run: From Ridge to Reef in hopes to put positive impacts and to promote the importance of our wildlife and habitat conservation in Lahad Datu. Run, jog or walk from 30 July to 12 August 2020!

This run will be highlighting one of Sabah's most important biodiversity hub: LAHAD DATU, from it's ridge to its reef including Danum Valley and Silam Coast!
Event Details:
Wild Wild Virtual Run "From Ridge to Reef"was originally organised in conjuction with Borneo Nature Festival and World Wildlife Day on March 2020. This event has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order in Malaysia since 18 March 2020. On 4 May 2020, the government announced Conditional Movement Control Order, where part of economic has been re-opened and certain activities were allowed but it has to be complied with the SOP by the government, which is why the event is brought back.
This event is a collaborative effort between WWF Malaysia and Sri Pelancongan Sabah (a wholly-owned by Sabah Tourism Board) with the support from Sabah Tourism Board, Sabah Foresty Department, Sabah Foundation, Lahad Datu District Office, Tourism Malaysia, and MASWings.

Where:
This is a Virtual Run, you can join and run anywhere in the world. All you need is a GPS-tracking app like Strava, Runkeeper, Nike+, Garmin Sports, Runtastic, Running Distance, Mapmyrun and etc. Step counters are allowed as follows:
1KM = 1,500 steps
5KM = 7,500 steps
10KM = 15,000 steps
Price:
Malaysian: 65MYR (inclusive with normal postage service)
International: 85MYR (inclusive with normal postage service)
This event is limited to 250 participants. All runners are required to sign a pledge to save our wildlife and to agree and comply with the social distancing requirements upon registration. A total of 10% of all proceeds will be donated to WWF Malaysia in support for their continuous work.
