Japan Boat Takoyaki!!!!

This is the most happening thing in KK rite now. Japan Boat Takoyaki!!!

Location: Ground Floor, Wisma Merdeka (near cimb atm, this place was the old Saint Cinnamon lot).

I first heard about it last Friday (12th Dec 2008). Clay (check his post, here) works around there and he is our test subject. These "sotong" balls (apa ni, don't otak kuning bah u guys) "takoyaki" are sold at RM2.80 per 3 piece. The only problem you'll be facing is

THE FRIGGING LONG QUEUE!

Depends on traffic, sometimes you have to queue for half an hour.

Not only the queue is long, the place also have a long list of staff working on the takoyaki.

There's more than this actually. Oh this is when they're cleaning it up (sucking all the excessive oil).

The process of making (so I saw tako, cabbage and some chili powder being put in).

neato boat box

this is it!

Anyways, check at ravejoint for my review, here. Other reviews, here. Thanks.

Shots of us. XD

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Some might like it. Some might not.

Thanks to IRTeA for the treat.

Have fun eating!

"Makan-Makan" Section

This is a fewd post. You can skip this to prevent from getting hungry LOL.

So lemme start with Promotion at Cube. Cube at Citymall have Xmas promotion! As follows. Oh yeah btw, this place is non-halal *cries. I remember a friend told me that their specialty is pork rib. *faints.

More about Cube, click here.

At this point, I'm wondering if I'm crazy or just plain stewped. I just woke up and I'm hungry!!!! OMG! @_@ *queues I will survive.

*photo leeched from clerence MWAHAHHAHA

On another note, there's a new fewd stall in Wisma Merdeka. JAPAN BOAT TAKOYAKI!!!! OMG, they opened last Friday and it'll filled with people lining up. Clay told me it took him 30 minutes to get his share of takoyaki! I want! It's RM2.80 for 3 pcs. More about this, check his blog post. Lets go takoyaki!!!! TAKOYAKI, *drools all over the floor.

Next, California Grill. I went to this place at ground floor of 1Borneo. Near tune hotel area for the 1st time last Monday (8th Dec 2008) with my brother. We always make sudden decision to eat somewhere. Weird. Anyways, check out the ravings, here.

The fewd we ordered.

On Tuesday (9th Dec 2008), me and my bro decided to go play Left 4 Dead for the first time so we went to the fewd court while waiting for acing and his bro to arrive. Since I skipped lunch on that day, my bro brought me to the Dim Sum place at Citymall Food Court (Food Paradise, check out em raves, here) to try some. Oh btw, this is one of those halal place that WE can eat! XD

Just need some to fill the stomach so we shared the Lo Mai Gai (Sticky Rice Chicken) and Chicken Feet.

We went to Poppea Garden Cafe for actual dinner. Thanks to toyboy.

More about Poppea Garden Cafe, click here.

On Wednesday (10th Dec 2008), we went for Juice Outing at Tg. Aru. Some of us wanted to de-stress. I had a big glass of watermelon juice. And I had Mee Basah for dinner. I think it was RM5. It was ok. More ravings, here.

If I'm not mistaken, we ordered these from stall no. 4 or 5. Service kinda slow. Fewd are just ok.

Was at Citymall yesterday, Saturday (13th Dec 2008) to cheer for CSPians who joined the Cosplay Competition. I followed my bro, scared no parking. Actually the initial plan was to play L4D but we went and play boardgames at CarcaSean.

Anyways, me and my bro had Kuching Laksa for brunch at Food Paradise (Citymall Food Court), check out em raves, here.

I think the laksa cost around RM5? I forgot sorry.

I was there for few hours till dinner. Went to dinner at Olde Station Kopitiam, check out em raves, here.

I love the fewd there. Simple but tasty!

Anyways, that's all for this week folks. I'm gonna grab something to eat. I'm uber hungry now. Have a pleasant weekend and meal! XD Thanks for reading!

Another Life Movie Premiere

Was at Imperial International Hotel last nite for the 2nd movie directed/produced by Shaz.

Here's a brief description of the movie.

Haikal buys a black rock from a second hand shop and suddenly everything around starts to change at first it was his handphone, then it was his job then his friends even his house, his car and even he changes into someone else. He is trying to figure out what is happening to him and learns that the rock he bought is part of a pair and the other rock is actually causing him and his surroundings to change, as it was placed on top of a computer which his friend uses to play a SIMs type video game.

It's absolutely brilliant! It's so funny. Well except the hissing sound *cough cough. But overall it's still great! EPIC moment by chucky, I hope they can upload it for everyone to watch. I love it! I wanna watch it again.

OMG the whole scene is funny. Oh not forgetting acing hahahahahah your expression is stuck in my head hahaha omg. Everyone did a great job for this movie!

Last but not least, photo leeched from chucky.

O.O panja doing the ranranru ka? @_@ OH and duck where's another shot with you in it? @_@

Last but not least, for more info about this movie project, click here.

The auditions, here and here.

Formula Dé Mini Boardgame

I'm seriously been neglecting my blog a lot lately. Maybe coz it's almost the end of the year and maybe coz I'm still exhausted from editing the photos from HobbyCon 2008. I don't really know. I'm just overall tired. I think.

I know I know, I'm giving lotsa excuse from not blogging. Maybe I wanna go on a holiday or something to make myself feel relax from all those political stuff/war that's going on around. No, I'm not referring to the world. I'm referring to people overall. There was once a time when I hated the world I live it. Just when I'm starting to like it, it gives me the impression that the world won't change for the greater gewd. And no, I have no idea what I'm babbling about if you ask me XD

Anyways, stop with the whining, I shall introduce you guys to a new boardgame I played last Wednesday at CarcaSean, Citymall. Well before that I actually went to have dinner with toyboy at Poppea Garden. Thank yew toyboy for dinner. After being all stuffed from eating, me, my bro, acing and his bro went to this cyber cafe to play Left 4 Dead (L4D). It's my first time playing this game. Left 4 Dead is a co-operative, survival horror, first-person shooter game. Kill zombies! Not for the weak hearted. Also, if you can't handle blair witch, forget it XD You'll get headache. I had problem with the controls. Need some time to get use to XD More info about this game, click here.

After the game, we went to CarcaSean and played Formula Dé Mini Boardgame. Hey, I was skeptical at first. And the truth is that I'm not the only one who's skeptical with this game. Well we thought this is like some kinda simple race game. I was indeed dead wrong. THIS IS UBER FUN!

Lemme briefly explain how this game works. I hope I got the steps correctly.

Min. no. of players is 2 and max is 8. First you choose the color of your car. There's a selection of red, green, yellow and blue. Then you choose the color of your spoiler. I use a red and blue car hehehe.

Each player are given 20 life tokens. This is to determine the condition of your car.

Here's the race track.

This is the gear indicator.

Notice the color die and the icon under the numbers? That's the no. of steps. You can shift gear during your turn. Increase or decrease by 1. If you wanted to shift from gear 4 to 2, you need to pay 1 life token.

Notice the colored square on the track, that's the pit stop. To get your life token, you need to roll a d20. The no. you got from that, is the life token you're getting. I think you shouldn't roll a 20. LOL I forgot why though.

Anyways, to start the game, players need to roll a d20 to determine the position. The lowest no. goes first.

On each round, the 1st car gets to go first. I mean if you started the race first, in the next round if you're car is positioned no. 3, you don't get to go first.

Notice the corner outlined in red? When you reach a corner, you need to stop in that outlined section. If you exceeded, you need to pay life tokens according to the no. of boxes you exceeded.

Collision will happen in this race. Lets say if your car stop behind a car, you could pay 3 life tokens to get in front of that particular car. I forgot whether you need to roll the black d20 die to prevent the collision in this case. But if you're car is next to another car, you need to. Rolls of no. less than 3 have to pay 1 life token.

Oh you can switch lanes. But you can't do it zig-zag form.

So yeah, to win the race, you need to finish 3 laps. Pretty much it. I mean there's other rules to follow but I couldn't remember em. Sorry.

Eventhough I started 1st in the race, I finish last. Darn it!

Last but not least, thanks to everyone who're still reading my blog. I'm sorry that I haven't been visiting everyone's blog lately. I'm just uber tired and I need a vacation. *cries.

HobbyCon 2008: Slow Update

I'm in the state of exhaustion. My body clock is screwed, my toes are numb, my shoulders are in pain (felt like I'm burdened with something) but that doesn't really describe how I felt during HC08.

I'm happy! I think it's a great success. Anyways, I'm gonna take some time to blog about it coz I'm currently uploading photos to facebook. Well most of my photos if I could. I got a total of 700++ photos for this 2 days event. And I sort of hated most of my shots for 1st day. I set it a bit too dark and vivid. GG. Anyways, I'm not sure if anyone else have problem with commenting the photos at my facebook album. I don't really know how to fix that, anyone got any idea?

Here's the link.
Day 1, Day 2.

I'll blog properly after I'm done with the photos. Sorry @_@

Oh and the final group photo from day 2. Thank to duck. Check his post, here.

The reason behind Coffee

I couldn't think of a better title. Having a title when creating a new post is er, hard. I mean HARD! So I'm gonna leave it as it is.

Anyways, not many people know this but I DON'T DRINK COFFEE! Not anymore. Well I used to. I started drinking black coffee since I was young. I used to drink it with my late grandma, well both my late grandma actually, from both of my parents side. I have no idea why I liked it so much then but know this. I QUIT COFFEE!!! I think I stop drinking after college. Or maybe a year after work. Can't remember. Why? My body system seems to be rejecting it. In what sense? Well, lemme see, every time I drink coffee,it gives me a headache. Not the normal headache where you feel it at the back of your head. But the excruciating pain you feel around 1 part of your eye till the back of your head. Lets say it's like 1 whole part of your head hurts so bad that you feel like banging your head against the wall. Well maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. But yeah, I can't stand it. It's been years since I had my last coffee.

I also can't stand the smell of coffee. I used to love it. I don't know what happened. Maybe I got really sick of it. Coffee smell makes me nausea these days. And I have a sensitive nose. Well not as sensitive as the dood in the movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" but lets just say that I'm sensitive towards erm smell. You know like when you're sleeping, you woke up to the smell from the kitchen and you can't help but to guess what your mum is cooking/making. LOL. Sorry, out of topic a bit. *rofl. But yeah. That kinda thing.

So yeah. I don't drink coffee. But, you could offer me tea instead. I love tea. Some tea could make me sleep like a baby. While some could make me stay up for so long that I turned hyper when I reach my limit. Not funny. We don't wanna go there. It's like I'm drunk but I'm not LOL.

I hope that explains it all, even if it doesn't make sense LOL.

On another note, there's a 999 potrait project going on at the South Atrium of 1 Borneo. More info, check Gerry's blog. So what are you guys waiting fore, go there and get your picture taken! Support!!! XD

That's about it for today. My post always end up out of topic.

HOBBYCON 2008 this Saturday and Sunday at Kompleks Asia City, 11am to 7pm. Don't forget, SEE YOU THERE!!!
