My Trip to Tawau (Part 3)

I'm super duper confused @_@ arranging and typing this. Somehow while uploading photos and typing I got a bit lost with the details, hence the reading and re-typing again XD I know u ppl must be anxious to read the part 3. I'm sorry for taking so much time. But there are too many photos that I wanted to show to everyone and it's so hard to put words to describe it XD

BEWARE! SUPER DUPER LONG POST!

15th October 2007 (Monday)

It's mum's b'day. Though it doesn't felt like it since we didn't get her anything hehe. Wut a weird feeling. Anyways, same as the day before, I had difficulties with sleeping. I end up waking up at 1:30am again and I was bugging my sis sleeping next to me by pulling her comforter XD yes I can't sleep. I heard my sis coughing from the next room. Hmm, how odd, I end up sleeping at 2am again and woke up at 6am. Funny thing is, I wasn't even sleepy (it must be the boredom).

Since I'm up so early, I'm the first one to go shower. Yes, we dun haf much thing to do except laze around or sleep hehe. Weird. Mum was a bit sick. I think she had too much chocolate or maybe the weather till she got migraine. She's been vomiting.

Our van will come and pick us up at 9am. There's plenty of time to waste *cough. Me and my sis did some camwhoring before we check out from the apartment. No I'm not gonna post it XD


We stop by around town to get something for breakfast but shops that are open didn't sell any interesting fewd. While waiting for the driver and dad to come back, we decided to camwhore inside the van. *cough. Dad came back with ice cream, some can drinks and snacks for us. I think it took less than 1 hour to get to Balung River Eco Resort. This is where we'll be staying for 1 day O.O"" yes, 1 day only oh~!


The resort located at least 20 mins from/to the airport along a gravel path from the main road. @_@ gravel road makes me dizzy. It started pouring rain as we started entering the gravel road. It's a miracle! It hasn't been raining lately it seems.

This resort is owned and run by Sabah's former Chief Minister, Datuk Harris Salleh, who is a dear friend of dad. I think along that bumpy ride, I couldn't stop asking whether we reach there yet. *rofl. Once reach there, we had brunch.

I think I complained about the rain too. I remember telling my sis about how dissapointed I am if the rain didn't stop. I won't be able to get any shot if the rain won't stop T_T but luckily it did. So happy. Once the rain stop, we walked to our chalet. OMG! It's truly magnificent. Beautiful. If only we spend more time there, I could really get tons more shots from there.

This place is surrounded by many different plants, fruits, flowers, insects, birds and etc. Truly amazing! The resort offers 73 chalet-type rooms. There's tv with astro at the reception area. TV is also provided at the chalet only without astro. I think you have to be at the right position if you wanna get gewd reception. But definately got reception for all telecommunication services. Which I think is convenient, but nobody bother to sms or call me T_T hehe.

Anyways, since it's the season for dragonfruit, here's wut we had. 1kg of dragonfruit XD fresh! I do think the white one taste better than the red/pink one in this case. I like~

All of us actually slept till around 3pm omg~ teruknya! It's so nice to sleep. But we had an appointment with Mr. Arun to visit the factory at 4pm. While waiting for him, we decide to walk around and take photo XD

First off, we went to the place where they make "gula nira". Going there we get to go through the river, where the bridge is not above water. You can see water flowing on the bridge. But too bad I didn't get any shot of it coz I was in the car and my camera wasn't ready yet hehe.

My sis said I couldn't get to shoot this dragonfly coz it'll fly away when ppl walk by. But guess wut? I manage XD I told her that we need time to let the dragonfly get comfortable with the surrounding then we can shoot em. See! XD I manage to get 2 shot. It's not too much fun coz too much sunlight.

It's er some kinda sugar. We get to drink also. Ogie, this is where it is funny. Why? Coz the smell of the drink omg~ @_@ Dad quoted: "bau air longkang". Gee, thanks dad -_-" make it hard for me to drink. But once I start sipping from the glass, it actually taste nice. It tasted like coconut.

I'm not sure how the fishing subject came about but as we know it, my parents were talking about fishing O.O and guess wut? There's a fishing spot XD hehe. It looked kinda abandoned coz nobody go fishing. Well ad

I dun really like fishing. The only thing I like is taking photo XD So, yes, I took more than 60 photo at this place. I only hold that bamboo stick thinggie for few mins then I lazy oledi XD I know I know bad habit, I have no patience in fishing. Sorry. Who like fishing can fish with my mum, she loves it. ^^;

But we couldn't get any fish becoz of the time and the fish. Fish there went to school before. My sis said she saw the fishes showing themselves but they're not fooled by the bait -_-"

We went back around after 6pm. Mum could go on without sleep if she could but dad insist to go back. Guess he's hungry hehe.

This is the fun thing for me since I like to capture insects. Ehem. Yes, a lot of this particular one. I actually saw a big dragonfly but it's a bit too far for me to reach. At the ceiling, near the fluorescent light. I'm not that tall ogie! T_T

Since my eldest sis, Lyne was the last one to finish, we (dad, me and 2nd sis) went back to our room. They met this couple from Holland. It's the guy's b'day and mum's b'day too. They gave us some chocolate cake. Hehe XD

Thought of watching tv but we all end up sleeping ^^;.

My Trip To Tawau (Part 2)

14th October 2007 (Sunday)

I was having a hard time to sleep. I got a thing for sleeping facing the door/entrance -_-" I dun sleep well like that. I dunno why, I juz dun. I end up waking up at 1:30am and only be able to sleep after 2am. Weird isn't it? As my 1st nite there goes, I tend to wake up at 6am. There's barely anything to do really. We get ready and went off to the nearby "tamu" at around 7am. We walked there and the weather doesn't seem to change that much really. It's still very very hot.


Crossing the road is so not my thing, I prefer being the one driving rather than being the one crossing the road. Crossing the road is juz creepy to begin with. ^^;; Waited for taxi, oh I forgot to mention that my eldest sis didn't join us coz she have plans with her friends.

I stayed here when I was 10 till maybe 12 or 13 years old XD

We went to check on our house at Tmn King Fook. It's been abandoned for 2 years. Our previous tenant was a troublemaker, the house is in a really bad condition. We couldn't get into the house coz my uncle still haven't gave us the key yet. Dad tried asking for somebody's contact number from the neighbour but end up arguing with them coz they were rude. Mum used to tell me stories about them. How they wanted to rent our house. Mum had loaned them the house key to look at it and when mum asked for the key, they didn't wanna return it to us. Like they owned them. Wadda?! I think they used it as storage or something like that. Without permission somemore. How rude. So, the idea now, is to build a brick wall XD *rofl~

OMG! I juz realized that I didn't take any shot of the pasar gantung at Tawau omg!!!! We went there. Mum bought some "sarong" and some other clothes?


We went to town after that. I dun think there's any success to look for fewd since most of the shops aren't open. We stopped by this famous "kedai kopi" there. Well, dad told me that it's famous coz lotsa old ppl like to "lepak" there. XD They only have cakes. Erk~ Anyways, I only took 1 cup of tea. You know the glass reminds me of my grandparent's house. They use this kind of glass if I could remember it clearly.

We walked to the market after that. We wanted to get some amplang and blinjo (ogie how do u spell this? That's how I pronounce it really XD) While dad settling for his stocks *cough, we went upstairs for fewd. Guess where's the fewd court? 4th floor ^^;; *breathe. Did some camwhoring while waiting for mum.


We "tapau" mee chicken soup for RM4. Went back to the apartment at 10:30am roughly.

My sis's fren came with her 2 children at around 11:30am, I suppose. She's my sis's ex classmate for a long time. Her sister was my x classmate. Mum followed them to meet her relatives while my eldest sis sneakingly send her b'day cake to us. It's funny really XD Oh forgot to mention that it's my mum's b'day the next day, which is on the 15th October, but since mum wanted to share the cake with everyone at the dinner, we celebrate it earlier hehe.


We're going for a family dinner as planned at around 6:30pm. But before that, birthday singing, wishing and cake cutting XD We walked to the main road for taxi. The most weird thing I saw is some retarded ppl stopping by to check on us wadda?! O.O We got 2 taxi. Dad told me about his experience waiting for taxi. He said, my sis should be the one waiting for it and he'll be sitting close by coz taxi won't stop if she calls for em. *rofl~


Our dinner was at Cowie Bay Seafood Restaurant. This restaurant located few blocks from my grandpa's house at Jalan Tawau Lama.

This is us with Aunt Lucy. Mum's friend. They reunited after 10 years XD She works at the seafood restaurant.

Here's wut we ordered.

My aunt Rainah (we call her auntie Inak when we were younger, well we still call her dat) was a bit sad coz we didn't visit her house for raya. That's coz she wasn't around. XD maybe next time. My aunt Sarah took shots of us with her camera phone. I think everyone was slightly blur with all those camera flashes XD

Dinner was fun. We had lotsa chit-chatting and dad with his jokes. Glad to see my grandpa was happy. It was 9:30pm and not leaving the place till we get a decent group photo.

Aunt Rainah wanted to send us back to the apartment but she had to send grandpa back home first. So, we followed Aunt Sarah instead. Another crampy moment. But it was fun! XD

Facts: Normally we call uncle/aunts by their 1st son/daughter's name. Which in this case, my Aunt Rainah would be called Mak Nurul. Hehe. Hence, my grandpa is called Tok Mok

Note: While I'm blogging, mum asked me to listen to sabah vfm at 1:30pm coz both my sis are on air. One is the DJ and the other one is the one talking about SEPA wakkaka this is so funny coz both of them got some kinda "slang" going on.

My Trip to Tawau (Part 1)

Here, the story begins ... How I spent my Hari Raya this year.

Warning: LONG POST AHEAD!

12th October 2007 (Friday)

It's the last day of fasting, Dad got really excited with the jelly making, he decided to make another one. This is mango flavoured jelly with mix fruit (mas no likey pineapple).

Omg, it's so tasty. I think I like this one better. Maybe it's the mango flavour hmm.

This was suppose to be my mum's b'day cake that my sis ordered? But I think got miscommunication somewhere till it become Hari Raya cake *rofl.


13th October 2007 (Saturday)

And the journey begins. Ehem, by flight btw hehe XD

Went off from home at around 7am-ish. My sis's fren sent her to the airport instead. Reached airport and had breakfast at Asian Delight cafe located at the 1st Floor (they actually calls it mezzanine floor? or something?) of Terminal 2, KKIA, yes coz I'm hungry. I shared fried mee with my 2nd sis (coz we're not that hungry? or maybe i dun haf much appetite). Hmm, the fried mee doesn't taste that nice. I think it was slightly dry. The taste is a bit wrong. Everyone else had fried meehoon. Mum liked it.


Our flight was at around 9:30am. While waiting for boarding, we overheard a lady shouting. From wut I heard from ppl, this China lady who's on a flight to Shenzhen didn't wanna get check at the scanning area. O.O ar? *confused. I wonder why. I have no idea wut she was yelling about but she got everyone's attention, most definately. O.O

Thank yew for Express Boarding, we get to pick our seats first ahhh~ no rushing to get in lines XD


Flight to Tawau only took about 50 mins. I tot 45 mins? O.O It doesn't take dat long really. Our captain pilot is Mr. Lo. Hehe, smooth take off and landing. I didn't know that we couldn't take photo of the airport. O.O but lucky I manage to get 1 shot XD

Took taxi to Kuhara Court Apartment Suite., which is roughly less than 1 hour from the airport. We stayed here for 2 days. The place is nice and all but the service is bad. The reception misplaced my dad's reservation -_-" (this is where I wish I could be somewhere else. why? coz my dad will start yapping). But surprisingly, they got 1 apartment available -_-" I'm confused, the fellow said they didn't have it? O.O

Took some photos of the apartment. The apartment per night cost about RM178 if I'm not mistaken. Consists of 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchen, etc etc, photos are easier to describe really XD

the living area. tv available. channels available, tv1, tv2, tv3, star world, espn, cnbc, discovery, 1 chinese channel er. I guess that's about it. I think there's less than 9 channel available. so boring

We freshened up for awhile and went off after noon to my grandpa's house. Mum had booked 2 taxi to send us there. Taxi fare double charge man! When we arrived there, nobody was around to open the door for us. -_-" it was hot and my dad was slightly cranky. We saw the neighbour's fat cat. Seriously fat!!! Didn't get any shot of it coz the cat ran away when I wanted to -_-" cis!

Mum called aunt to ask where they went, found out they're on the way back from visiting grandma's grave ^^; alamak~ Since that's the case, dad decided to go back. While waiting for taxi, I took some shots of my surroundings XD


This small beach is located opposite my grandpa's house. "This used to be my playground..this used to be where I collect clams with my aunts..." wakkakaka XD brings back memories XD

Here's another problem, not only it's really really hot, no cab passing by. Even if there is, got passanger oledi ^^; We need not only 1 taxi, but 2. Coz there's 5 of us and 1 taxi won't fit us all since most of us are big size *cough. We waited and me, mum and my 2nd sis got into the taxi to go back to the apartment. It's not that far but omg the weather, it's so hot. Some of the taxi don't even have aircond. Dies~ But, as we nearly reaching the apartment, dad called us to go back to grandpa's house since they reached the house already. -_-" wasted another RM8 for taxi fare. OMG!

There was my grandpa, the "bachelor" uncle, aunt sarah and her husband. Dad and the other 2 uncle were chit-chatting outside, while we do some chit-chatting inside the house.

After chit-chatting for awhile, my aunt, Sarah asked us to go to her house at Bombalai. Hehe. But before we go off, we took some shots with grandpa XD My sis were greedy. They asked me to take more than one.

This is the tricky part of how we gonna go there. My uncle drives a Toyota Hilux *cough. Now, try imagining 7 people to fit inside the car *cough. Yes, we made it, suprisingly. 1 driver (my uncle), me and dad share 1 seat in front (ouch my back), and the other 5 at the passanger seat. It's really really funny, if I could take a shot of it, I'll be laffing nonstop juz looking at it maybe. I won't call it far but it takes about half an hour or more than that to get there. I think if I'm not mistaken, it's about 20km or so?

My aunt's house is at the plantation. But it's really neat. I likey. Even her plants are neat. OMG!

How rude of me! -_-" I nearly forgot to "salam" my aunt on the way back coz I was excited to take photo of flowers around her garden *cough. Besides (mo buat excuse), I tot we're not going back yet hehe.

My uncle drove us back to the apartment. We dun really have anything to do there, except maybe watch tv? Which is also boring. Wanted to go out but it's too hot and we didn't have any transport to go around. My sis went out to meet her friends, we had her get us dinner. She came back with 5 fish and chips and 1 chicken chop for my dad. Wuah super nice. They bought it at er I forgot wut's the name of the place, but it's so tasty! XD

Experimental: Homemade Guava Jelly with Longan

Yes, you heard me! No! I didn't make these. My dad did. He was excited in testing it. I only help him to measure the amount of sugar *cough. Anyways, it's a success! And it taste great. Guava flavoured jelly. It's so tasty! XD

Less Than A Week

I'm gonna do some explaining again. I didn't/couldn't blog or read ppl's posts coz of the major suckness coming from our service provider *sigh. I wanna curse em everyday becoz of it. -_- I end up refreshing all my pages till I gave up and watch tv instead. Well, not quite everything also, since I've been watching some tv series and anime. Ahh, yes, I'm missing out on the anime NANA which I love so much. Reason for not being able to watch this is coz my bro didn't wanna continue dl the ep coz he think dat Hachi is a bit slutty *cough. Lucky for online anime page, I manage to nearly finish watching it. *sigh~ I even cried in between. I know I know, I'm a cry baby *tsk~

Btw, we had dinner outside yesterday at Inanam Restaurant and Cafe. Omg~ I so love the fish. Anyways, I raved about it already so u guys can see it at my sidebar there's actually a list of fewd. But I would be uploading it here oso.

Omg~ Ppl are so gonna be annoyed *hiks~ Oh, and guess wut? I told both my mum and my 2nd sis to sit next to me during family dinner. I'll be paranoid if anyone else sits next to me. And another reason for dat is, hehe, so I could gossip with my 2nd sis mwahhaha. I hope my bro will take gewd care of my 2 mimis when I'm not around. I'm sure gonna miss them a lot. T_T mimi, and hope my bro's gf won't catnap them when I'm away *cough kidding~ XD

TMNUT issues

The line has been lagged since yesterday noon. Wait more like morning, coz when I was mapuring and it was terrible. I keep on dc and I couldn't pick up the stuff on the ground. *sigh. But I was able to watch movies online though. This time I watched, umm, Bridge of Terabithia, omg very inspiring XD shuddup whoever dun like it ;P and er wut's the other one, Daddy's Little Girls, umm, this is like those common movie, urgh, didn't like it ^^;

Got back home, I thought mum and sis would come back early but they came back after "sungkai" adois~ lucky I got in after taking some photos. If not I'll rot outside the house.

Movie Marathon

I know I know, I've been doing a lot of blog skipping lately. It's juz dat, I'm lack of stuff to blog, as u can tell, I blog mostly about fewd. *drools~

Talking about fewd. I bet quite a number of ppl had a miscommunication problem before? I.e. like yesterday. My sis sms me about getting fewd for "sungkai" and I smsed her back telling her that I want the fried rice from OK Chicken Rice at Likas Square. Well guess wut she replied my mum? "Mas wants nasi ayam" adoi~ kuyak. In the end, my bro bought chicken rice from Restoran Juara for us. Adoi~ well nvm la, that will do too.

I was too bored to mapuru yesterday, so, decided to watch movie online. Well I would watch those horror movies but scared I won't be able to sleep XD hahahah penakut~ Anyways, not the point. I watched. Georgia Rule and Sunshine.


Sunshine is a 2007 science fiction film directed by Danny Boyle from a screenplay by Alex Garland. The film follows a spaceship crew in the year 2057, played by an ensemble cast of Rose Byrne, Cliff Curtis, Chris Evans, Troy Garity, Cillian Murphy, Hiroyuki Sanada, Benedict Wong and Michelle Yeoh, who are tasked with reigniting Earth's dying sun. An ok-ok movie la. Ogie fine! It's boring. In the end everyone dies! Mwahhahaha! XD Sot. Hmm, I guess I'm more distracted looking at Cillian Murphy XD kekekekek opps~

Next I watched Georgia Rule.
I think this movie is ok too. Georgia Rule is a 2007 comedy-drama film directed by Garry Marshall and starring Lindsay Lohan, Jane Fonda, Garrett Hedlund, Cary Elwes, Dermot Mulroney, and Felicity Huffman. The film is rated R for sexual content and some language. Some part are funny hehehe but pretty blend and slightly predictable. Btw, izzit me or somehow Felicity Huffman owez plays this kinda role? O.o?

I'm off watching some other movie then. Or maybe I should mapuru? Hmm, tempting. I want moneh!!!! So I can get the stuff I wanted T_T
